DNA Evolution allows you to create two parallel copies of your content on two separate LTO-5 tapes giving you dual protection with minimal manual intervention. Multiple copies allows you to send one for offsite protection while use the second copy for Post production restores and conforms.
Offload and Checksum at the same time (4x faster than removable drives)
DNA Evolution and LTO-5 combine to perform a Read-Verify-After-Write. This allows you to archive and checksum the bytes that were written in one operation. The end result is archiving and checksum in parallel – which saves a full read that is needed from hard drives.
Combining the ability to Read-Verify-Write and the performance advantage of LTO-5 over hard drives – gives an overall archival speed improvement of 4x over archiving to a hard drive (2x faster in performance + saving 2x the time for an additional restore for verification).

With the ability to feed DNA Evolution an EDL for automated conforms simplifies the process and enables an editor to perform their own retrievals.
