Throttle not only bandwidth but also IOPS (IO per sec) being sent to your storage system.
On-Demand/Automated
Control your syncs and transfers to run on-demand or on a fully automated schedule.
Introduction
We provide businesses a secure and efficient file sharing and sync tool. Powered by the ability to create private and accelerated networks, we enable end users to share, distribute and collaborate either internally or externally to the organization. We also enable IT solutions such as syncing servers/SANs; remote backup and connecting media pipelines. Our technology differentiates itself in its ability to securely integrate into existing IT infrastructure and security policies.

  1. Web Console: Manage your entire DNASync ecosystem via a centralized HTTPS based web console. This web console can be accessed by any web browser. Admins and authorized users can login and create peer to peer local, network syncs across any DNASync Agent enabled systems.

  2. DNA Sync Manager: The DNASync appliance acts as a management console, stores sync policies and a data traffic cop. All DNA Agents communicate with the DNA Manager using an SSL connection. Policies stored by authorized users (via the web console). No actual data flows via the DNA Manager as all syncs are peer to peer. As the DNASync appliance acts as a traffic cop, it does not become a bottleneck and can manage hundreds/thousands of sync jobs.

  3. Local Sync: A DNASync agent enabled system can be configured to perform a p2p local (FC, SCSI, SATA etc.) synchronization for SAN backup, mirroring. In local sync mode, directories on locally attached connections can be synced without using an intermediate network. In local mode, DNASync agents fully maximize throughput using concepts such as direct I/O.

  4. Network LAN Sync: Any two DNASync agents can be configured to sync content on a LAN connection. On a LAN, DNASync agents can accelerate and optimize 1Gb/s and 10Gb/s LAN connections. LAN syncs are perfect for syncing SANs within the same LANs for mirroring, backup and migration.

  5. Network WAN Sync: DNASync agents can be configured to perform peer to peer WAN syncs. Performing syncs over WAN links requires additional network management algorithms including TCP/IP latency management, network resilience, checkpoint restarts. DNASync agents employ a wide range of technologies to maximize WAN related challenges and deliver maximum throughput.
